We’re looking for a Facilities Operations Assistant to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective range of Facilities Services to help support the operational needs of the Environment Agency and its property portfolio. You’ll be working as part of a FM team at Waterside House providing core Facilities Management support services including provision of postal, reception services and meeting room bookings, managing ordering, stock maintenance and purchase of office supplies, and stationery.
Facilities Management in the Environment Agency is a nationally managed Service delivered by Corporate Assets within our Resources and Legal Services Directorate. Facilities Management teams manage our network of 158 offices and depots to provide safe, well maintained, legally compliant and productive workplaces for our staff as well as a range of business support services to help our people work safely, effectively and efficiently.
We are seeking a Facilities Management practitioner with office-based experience. Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) and proven ability and/or knowledge of:

Customer Service, Reception Duties or Facilities Management
Core Facilities Management support services including provision of postal, reception services and meeting room bookings, managing ordering, stock maintenance and purchase of office supplies, and stationery
IT skills (Microsoft Office/Excel).
Building relationships with customers to develop and maintain a positive reputation, service delivery and effective resolution of issues.
Maintaining good relationships with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
Communications skills
Customer Service skills
Some experience of property and / or building maintenance

A full UK driving licence would be desirable for this post as travel to other sites within the area may be required. Some infrequent out of hours work may be required. Some infrequent national travel may be required.

Provides maintenance and repair service to the Environment Agency’s property portfolio, which is required to meet the business needs.
