Are you a positive and people focused leader who enjoys providing good efficient quality service in an evolving and sometimes fast moving environment? Can you build strong partnerships to deliver ambitious outcomes? Then this may be the opportunity for you. We are looking for a strong leader who can inspire, develop and support individuals in our Area Environment Programme team and build strong relationships with our external partners to drive forward our area priorities.

You'll be leading on and helping to shape a variety of work to help us deliver real environmental improvements in the communities of the West Midlands.

The post is initially for 12 months but may become permanent in the future
Acting to reduce the impacts of a changing climate on people and wildlife is at the heart of everything we do. We reduce the risks to people, properties and businesses from flooding and coastal erosion. We protect and improve the quality of water, making sure there is enough for people, businesses, agriculture and the environment. Our work helps to ensure people can enjoy the water environment through angling and navigation.
Suitable candidates will have
• Worked your way up in your current industry gaining leadership experience and skills along the way, some of which may be recognised through formal qualifications : or,
• Gained experience and/or industry-recognised qualifications as a supervisor : or,
• Have a degree in a related subject like environmental science, chemistry, geography or Earth sciences, law, etc, along with leadership experience
