Duties include:

We warmly welcome interest in our apprenticeships from everyone. Our aim is for a workforce that reflects the diversity in the communities we work with.

You’ll be working with experienced Administrators and be part of a wider apprentice community made up of individuals with different talents and abilities and of all ages and backgrounds.

Our ultimate aim is for a workforce that reflects the diversity in the communities we work with and the environment we protect.
Background and experience are not as important as your energy, enthusiasm and commitment as the apprenticeship will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to be fully competent in this role.

You’ll be completing a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship. You will take responsibility for completing coursework on time, maintaining up to date evidence for your assessments and put into practice what you’re learning by continuing to do your day job every day. You will be expected to work hard.

Successful candidates will have:

• Excellent attention to detail and be able to produce accurate work.

• Good interpersonal, team working and communication skills.

• Good organisational and planning skills and ability to work to deadlines under pressure.

• Maths and English at GCSE Grades A – C (or equivalent).

• Please note, we are unable to accept candidates who hold a Level 6 (degree) qualification or higher.
We cannot guarantee a permanent role on the completion of your fixed term apprenticeship. However, we will support you to find ongoing employment within the Environment Agency or Defra Group.

This apprenticeship is targeted primarily at young people aged 16 – 24 years. This does not disqualify you from applying if you are over 24; are looking to re-enter employment after a break; or are seeking to change your career direction as there is no upper age limit for undertaking an apprenticeship.

However it is essential that you meet the apprenticeship eligibility criteria detailed in the Candidate Pack
