An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset Performance (AP) Data Technical Leader, preferably with relevant flood risk management experience, based at our Owston Ferry office.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who thrives on using creative solutions to manage and manipulate large data sets.
This is a highly technical role where you'll be responsible for providing Technical advice, coaching and mentoring to the team embedding and embracing new technology and ways of working thus enabling the team to plan and deliver our reconditioned, revenue, capital and intermittent maintenance programmes. This is through the use of two national databases, the AIMs inventory and AIMs planning systems.
You will work closely with other Technical Leads within the team to coach and mentor other team members and provide support for the Team Leader, you will also work closely with our Field Teams.
We’re an established team which has recently been through a large recruitment campaign so there are plenty of opportunities for development. We are set up to work closely with our field service teams based out of depots strategically located across the patch. Our team comprises a mix of civil engineers, data, maintenance and incident leads, asset inspectors and technical admin support
You will have experience in data and information management or a Civil Engineering background.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent IT and communication skills who works well in teams developing, coaching and mentoring others, can solve complex problems and has an aptitude for working with data and information.

Combining an analytical mind with great people skills, you’ll be comfortable using data to solve problems and able to explain your decisions to wide-ranging stakeholders.
You'll have a proven ability of data manipulation, interpretation, reporting and the role quality assurance plays in supplying reliable data.
The following would be a distinct advantage.
Advance use of MS Excel, ARC GIS, Business Objects XI (BOXI). A good understanding of flood hydrology and river modelling would also be advantageous as would knowledge of the Aims inventory and Planning systems.

You'll be expected to analyse complex problems and find innovative solutions. Giving examples, please tell us about a complex problem for which you've had to apply sound analytical techniques, generate options and select the best course of action.
You will be expected to travel to field locations across the area and so the post requires a full UK driving licence. As an operational role, this post is eligible for a lease car (subject to business case approval). The role is based out of our Owston Ferry Office.
