This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in the Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire Operations Management Team. This specialist role involves providing engineering expertise and technical leadership to the Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire Operations Management Teams and support them in their delivery of the flood risk management revenue and capital asset maintenance programmes. The role will also provide technical leadership to support operational decision making during incident response as part of our role as a Category One responder.
It is an exciting time to be in FCRM Operations. New systems and a stronger focus on asset management is shaping how we manage our assets in the future.

We are moving into a new era of Flood Risk asset management and our aim is to achieve ISO55000 accreditation within the next few years and our teams are working together towards that. We have a responsibility to ensure our assets are incident ready.
This role requires experience of delivering FCRM programmes of work and complex/fast paced FCRM projects.

An appropriate level of experience of managing in health, safety and wellbeing in high risk environments.
Can demonstrate professional leadership and experience of implementing best practice solutions based on up-to-date knowledge and expertise.

Actively forming and maintaining close links with internal and external partners/stakeholders to deliver the outcomes of both a specific function/project/team and the wider organisation.

Prioritising and delivering work within a programme and project management framework to time, cost and quality.
Shaping and facilitating change/new ways of working to improve efficiency & productivity

Identifying critical knowledge gaps in the business and developing solutions to address them.

Using political sensitivity when responding to the needs of customers, stakeholders and communities.

Using strong communication and networking skills to influence, or help deliver outcomes through, partner/stakeholder organisations.

Interpreting/evaluating evidence to propose effective solutions for challenging problems.
