We’re looking for proactive team members to join the Waste Regimes Operational Service team, part of Operations Regulatory Services

2 permanent roles in the International Waste Shipments Team (IWS): The team focus on the assessment of applications to move waste across international borders, providing advice and guidance to customers on the import/export of waste, dealing with non-compliance issues and supporting future compliance work.
The Waste Regimes Operational Services (WROS) department was established in April 2019 following a restructure of our frontline delivery of non-site based waste regimes. You’ll be supporting the team to work collaboratively with departments across the Environment Agency, devolved agencies .It The teams consists of experienced and knowledgeable Regulatory Officers/Senior Technical Officers in Pan Area Teams and National regime teams
We need individuals to demonstrate the following:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to embrace new tools that support virtual communication.
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills demonstrating the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external customers is essential.
• Ability to coordinate the collection, assessment and reporting of diverse, complex data.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Excel Outlook and MS Teams.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational and planning skills to deliver on multiple work streams with conflicting deadlines.
Office base is flexible and flexitime scheme is available. You will need to be comfortable with working in a dispersed team. Some national travel and overnight stays may be required.
