Are you passionate about customer service and engagement? We're looking for motived self-starters who can join our fast-paced, high performing team of customer service and engagement professionals in order to enhance the reputation of Environment and Business (E&B) and the EA as a whole.
We have two posts available 1 x permanent and 1 x fixed term assignment contract until 31/03/2027
As a Correspondence Advisor in the E&B External Affairs Team, you will deliver continuous improvement in all aspects of customer service and will be responsible for handling complex and sensitive information requests, urgent Parliamentary Questions, Ministerial Briefings, and correspondence from senior leadership including the CEO and Chair.
The E&B directorate covers a wide range of activities, including regulation of water companies, water quality, fisheries and agriculture, waste, regulated industry and more.
The role is fast paced, varied and works closely with senior leadership to ensure we adhere to EA policy, provide excellent customer service, enhance our reputation, and put customers at the centre of decision making.
You'll collaborate to share good practice and ways of working, identifying opportunities for business improvement and work with colleagues in other areas to embed consistency in EA processes.
You'll be expected to fulfil an incident management role to support us as a category 1 responder.
You’ll join our Correspondence Team within External Affairs. We lead on correspondence for Environment and Business, from Executive briefings and MP correspondence to Environmental Information Requests.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding and experience of our responsibilities under EIR/FOI and a proven ability to write high quality correspondence and briefings. You must be able to balance your workload and deal with the fast paced, reactive nature of the job.

We use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel, however some travel and overnights may be required.
