This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the centre of water environment improvements across the North East Area. As Project Manager you will work with a range of partners to deliver projects that provide improvements to our water environment.
You will
• Support external delivery partners to ensure all internal processes and policy are adhered to and you will advise and guide them through project delivery.
• Internally you will work with experts from across the business to ensure we are delivering the best value for money through an integrated approach.
• Ensure that our projects deliver environmental outcomes
• Ensure project funds are allocated correctly and spent in a timely way
• Work with a variety of environmental stakeholders to deliver partnership projects.
• Identify and explore environmental opportunities and deliver multiple benefits.
As part of the role you will also support programme management. This will involve liaising with project deliverers to track and profile projects.
A significant area of work will be to manage the Water Resources programme. This is a set of projects that are being developed to help understand and address water resources issues in North East Area.
You will

The Environment Programme Team operates at the heart of the Business. Integrating projects across the area, both internally and externally to deliver improvements to the water environment. We take a catchment based approach and work very closely with external partners and experts across the business to ensure our programme is effective, efficient, and innovative.
We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline or has the equivalent work experience
You are comfortable with data and handling and interpretation, and you can find effective solutions to technical problems
You are a good communicator. You can talk to people at different with different varying of understanding. You can make technical information understandable and present it in different ways
You have the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers and partners and collaborate effectively
You can work well in a team and appreciate how you fit with the wider goals of the team and the environment agency
You be experienced in seeking new was of working to improve efficiency and achieve outcomes
It’s an advantage if you have:
CDM qualifications
Project management qualifications

This role is based in North East Area. We are currently working in a hybrid way, with a mix of home and office working
