We currently have a position available for an experienced MEICA professional in the area. The position is based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

You will:

Work in the Field on Mechanical and Electrical structures both as routine maintenance and breakdown repair.
You will form part of an Incident Response roster. This could entail working across the country if other Areas have a skill requirement during an incident
You will also be required to work with and supervise our frame work contractors
Co-ordinate a programme of planned preventative maintenance on our assets.
The post is both field and office based.
You will also have MEICA technical support from our Supra Area MEICA team.
Field MEICA are one of the Area Field Teams and ensure the Area assets are maintained and inspected to the work schedules produced by the Area MEICA team for the Site Responsible Officers. The MEICA Field Team provides a maintenance service to the business for mechanical, hydraulic & low voltage electrical assets (Locks, weirs, other flood prevention structures). It is a bespoke role for specific assets within the catchment
Previous experience in either electrical or mechanical but preferably electrical with a good mechanical grounding. Training in the mechanical works could be provided if required for those holding the correct current electrical qualification.
Strong problem solving skills and experience
Confidence in using a range of IT systems to keep work programmes on track.
You will have either current mechanical or electrical qualifications.
You will be strong at managing relationships with different contractors
Excellent health and safety track record and awareness
Strong team working skills.

Demonstrate delivery of works including the repair, installation, routine design, inspection, test and maintenance of equipment to ensure MEICA ( Mechanical or Electrical engineering standards are met.
