You will lead a diverse portfolio of work, including:

- Developing our local vision, and aligning our organisation;
- Helping and influencing others who are have a role in shaping the NW to ensure that their projects, plans and developments are aligned with our environmental goals;
- Leading our work with engaging our customers in the work we do, protecting and improving our reputation as a partner of choice. Achieving buy in to improve the quality and resilience of our communities;
- Championing innovative projects and initiatives through to delivery, securing investment and delivering productive, effective results.
We are seeking a great team player to join our evolving high performing Area Management team, with cultural change at its heart, making our environment great for people to live and work in.

You'll work closely with the Area Manager and fellow management team colleagues to deliver our vision. You will lead the area workforce planning group, and have a range of direct reports covering planning, programming and engagement across all our Area activities.

You’ll need to be an inspiring, future thinking and collaborative person to help us to put people and the environment at the heart of decision-making. You will be a strong people leader and work as part of a team but also with autonomy. The management team is largely based in Warrington. Area wide and national travel will be required. Candidates therefore need to hold a full UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an incident management role.
