We have two exciting opportunities in our Operations department to lead the North Suffolk Field Team and the Ely Field Team.

These are key roles, leading a team of up to 14 staff, providing them with the tools and support required to undertake their roles to perform at their best. You will shape your team and be responsible for its output.

Field Operations is at the forefront of flood risk management, involved in river and asset maintenance, asset health and safety, and incident response.

This hands-on role involves:

- Leading, motivating and inspiring your team.
- Ensuring your staff are trained, competent and have the equipment required to undertake their role.
- Ensuring your staff follow procedure and that work is undertaken safely, with the correct paperwork.
- Coaching and mentoring.
- Providing response to flood and environmental incidents inside and outside of normal working hours by participating, training and exercising.
- Building and maintaining relationships with other teams.
- Communicating professionally with our partners, landowners and members of the public.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

If you want to expand or further develop your leadership skills or if you are seeking a new role in leadership and believe you have the capabilities to make a great leader then this is the role for you. Be part of the climate change challenge and lead a dedicated team of professionals in reducing the impacts of climate change.

- Confident working with health, safety, and wellbeing procedures.
- Capable of prioritising workloads that involves risk-based decision making
