We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and adaptable person to join our Partnerships and Strategic Overview (PSO) team working from our Brampton Office.

You’ll play a vital role in providing administrative support to the PSO teams covering the whole of East Anglia. Leading on the processing of Flood Risk Activity Permits, managing our database and charging for the works. You will also be responsible for managing the team inbox and email correspondence.

This will involve the management of data using Microsoft Office products and Internet based systems, so a good level of IT competence is expected.

Some ad hoc travel to other offices within the area may be required.

The Environment Agency take part in incident response. If successful, your line manager will discuss arrangements with you depending on your role and circumstances. We have a flexible range of roles you can volunteer for and you’ll get all the training and support you need.
Partnerships and Strategic Overview teams are responsible for developing an understanding of, and managing, flood and coastal risk across East Anglia. Working in partnership with other Risk Management Authorities we determine how best to manage flood risk from all sources. We develop new schemes to reduce flood risk from main rivers and the sea, provide and manipulate data underpinning our mapping and modelling, influence the location of new developments, and issue Flood Risk Activity Permits.
• Proven administrative experience, highly organised and able to deal with confidential, high profile, and sometimes sensitive issues.
• Provide information and advice accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills, work to deadlines, flexible and resourceful with the ability to handle shifting priorities.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to make decisions and achieve planned outcomes.
• We are looking for a candidate to have strong IT and organisational skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and Office 365 and be familiar with internet based systems.

A full UK driving licence.
