Are the challenges and rewards of technical leadership part of your career plan?

If so, we are looking for two experienced Hydrology Technical Specialists to join our Groundwater, Hydrology and Contaminated Land (GWHCL) teams in the West Midlands.

These technical leadership roles are absolutely critical to how we empower and support our people to do a fantastic job. You’ll be working closely with the GWHCL team leaders to develop technical resilience and implement new ways of working.
Each role will report to one of the two (GWHCL) teams, but will be expected to provide an Area wide hydrology service, working collaboratively with the other Hydrologists.

Our technical leaders encourage a work environment where creativity and innovation thrive by empowering and drawing on the talents of others. They are crucial in creating a culture where everyone can be themselves and are therefore able to give their best.
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated applicants, who see that providing great leadership is as important as using their specialist technical knowledge to protect people and the environment.

You will have extensive hydrological experience together with an in depth understanding of water resources. You will be able to communicate across a wide network of audiences, having the skills to turn technical detail into compelling argument for the respective audience.

We would also expect successful candidates to be able to demonstrate the essential level of competence across the competencies described in the leadership and management competencies framework.

Membership of an appropriate professional body is desirable.
Closing Date: 10th March 2017 at 23:55 hours
