We are the Environment Agency. We protect and improve the environment. Acting to reduce the impacts of a changing climate on people and wildlife is at the heart of everything we do. We work with government, local councils, businesses and communities to make our environment a better place for people and wildlife.

We’re investing £5.2billion before 2027 in our Capital Programme that will reduce flood risk to 336,000 properties throughout England. Across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex we also have an annual maintenance programme of circa £12 million that ensures the assets we manage stay in good condition. This role will assist both our new build and maintenance programmes.

The role is varied and draws upon a diverse range of transferrable skills. Working closely with a variety of people and teams, you’ll be involved in the following:

Developing programmes of work and investment bids for future years

Advising on the status of projects and the wider programme
Analysing data and preparing reports
Supplying information to internal and external customers
Managing data through a variety of systems

This is a fixed term assignment until 31/03/2022 - INTERNAL CANDIDATES must ensure agreement from your line manager before applying.
The Programme Team tracks spending, and performance across a large number of projects for the creation and maintenance of flood and coastal erosion management assets, e.g. flood defences.
