Do you want to make the world a better place? Are you passionate about protecting the nation against natural threats and hazards? We are looking for great people to be Technical Specialists in the Environment Agency’s field teams. In this role you will be the custodian of health and safety, construction and maintenance technical knowledge and coach others in the team. You will see projects through from conception to completion, take responsibility for compiling works plans, and working collaboratively with internal and external partners. You will support the Team Leader with the active support of the Field Team Members.
We are the Environment Agency's front line. We protect people, wildlife property and the environment. We are the first responders to incidents.

-Plan and enable delivery of the Environment Agency’s maintenance programme
-Maintain flood defences and other Environment Agency equipment on the ground
-Work with other teams in the Environment Agency to protect properties and improve Environments
-Experience of working with and leading others.
-IT skills and familiarity with mobile technology, including an understand Environment Agency apps and systems would be an advantage.
-Be self-motivated, be able to work well in a team and independently.
-Be able to take initiative, be flexible, solve problems and make decisions.
-Be great at talking to people and confident in dealing with the general public.
-Have great planning skills and the ability to co-ordinate teams on the ground.
