We are looking for an aspiring Lead Team member to lead and motivate Field Team members based out of Osney Yard in Oxford and Hartley Wintney . This is an exciting opportunity to take on the leadership of one of the Field Team’s. You will help deliver our maintenance programme, maintenance projects and incident response service in a safe, efficient, effective manner. The role will always be extremely challenging and demanding to make sure our workforce delivers everything it can deliver to manage Flood Risk as effectively as possible.

Fundamental to the role is you providing leadership and direction to the team to ensure that the team remains motivated, dynamic, safe and effective whilst delivering a programme of works.
As part of a Thames Field Team you'll provide an emergency response service 24 hours a day for flood and environmental incidents. You'll assist in delivering maintenance programmes for our flood defences, including tree work and removing blockages and debris. You'll assist in operating and maintain our assets. You'll lead the team in their daily tasks. You will also be involved in the use of floating craft.
The role would suit men and women who can demonstrate a positive adaptable approach and a ‘can do’ attitude as a worthy team player. Good organisational skills and an ability to learn new skills are desirable. A flexible approach to respond to incidents and a proven ability to work under pressure during incidents are essential. We will provide you with the correct equipment, safety clothing and training to ensure you comply with all the Health, Safety and Wellbeing requirements of the Environment Agency. You will need good communication skills to work with customers and partners.

We would like you to have a good level of environmental awareness and familiarity with tablet style computers and mobile technology will be useful.
