We are looking for a Business Change Manager to join our team to help deliver and embed business and cultural change initiatives required within our organisation.

Through the application of business change techniques you will work with the business to identify and assess the required changes, the level of change impact on the business and ensure ‘readiness’ to enable expected change programme objectives and business benefits to be delivered.

You will plan and deliver change interventions that will increase adoption and minimise resistance to change. This will include supporting the design, development and delivery of communications, training and benefits plans.

As a coach and experienced facilitator you will guide and help leaders in fulfilling their role as change sponsors to deliver expected benefits. Your role extending to support wider leadership teams in coaching and facilitating them through change transition to embed new ways of working.

Collaborative working and one business approach is at the heart of the way we work.
You will be joining the Change and Improvements Team within Chief Operating Officer’s Directorate as a Business Change Specialist.

As part of a specialist ‘change’ network the Business Change managers are aligned to key change initiatives that underpin the continuous development and transformation of the Environment Agency and it’s people.
You will have experience of managing, implementing, facilitating and monitoring the delivery of transformational and cultural change projects. You will have knowledge and experience of applying change management principles, methodologies and tools that underpin change management, with a proven track record of achieving results.

Experienced in stakeholder management you will be able to establish and maintain strong relationships, coaching and influencing others to move towards a common vision or goal and gain ‘buy in’ to enable change through others. With excellent facilitation and communication skills you will be able to clearly articulate messages to wide variety of audiences.

Active listening, problem solving and root cause identification skills are also required to support effective transition and embedding of new ways of working and approaches.

‘Virtual’ working is critical to the way we work currently, experience of using online collaborative tools to facilitate workshops and interactive meetings across teams will be advantageous.
Relevant qualifications in Change Management would be advantageous for example APMG – Change Management

The team is dispersed across the country. As we reduce Covid19 restrictions there will be some travel required and occasional overnight stays.

Part time and flexible working patterns will be considered.
