We’re looking for an exceptional candidate to join the Asset Performance Team based at our Lichfield Office in the Midlands Region. You will lead and deliver maintenance and flood defence projects in line with our H&S risk management procedures and act as Senior User for Nationally delivered projects. Liaise and support Field team leaders in the delivery of our annual work programme. You will liaise with external contractors to deliver solutions for our flood risk improvements. You will also assist in the teams transition to a new way of working in the Asset Management Strategy and help in acquiring and maintaining ISO55000 accreditation. There are two posts available, one fixed term 18 months and one fixed term 9 months.
We are responsible to ensure FCRM assets are inspected, surveyed, assessed, maintained and operated in a safe, effective and efficient manner to reduce flood risk for people and property and ensure they work to agreed service levels and standards. During a flood, we would operate our assets to deliver the EA’s tactical/operational response in partnership with other responders.
You'll be a confident communicator, with excellent customer service skills, as you will be working with internal and external partners, as well as with members of the public.

With good planning and organisational skills you'll be able to demonstrate a meticulous, conscientious and logical attitude to your work. You'll have a good working knowledge of a range of IT packages, including MS Office.

Your excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal abilities will be complimented by your enthusiasm and ambition to achieve defined deadlines and targets.

Project management experience is essential and knowledge of the H&S risk management procedures.

Applicants would be expected to have a minimum of foundation degree in River & Coastal Engineering, a minimum HNC/HND qualification in engineering or equivalent experience.
