We need a person, or people, to provide advice and guidance to a major project which has the potential to challenge the biodiversity of our local environment. A job-share is an option, where this arrangement would bring the right skills and experience.

Working with the Nuclear New Build Project Manager and team colleagues, you will ensure advice and support is provided to colleagues and stakeholders on all aspects of developer compliance with the terms of the Development Consent Order granted for the proposed Sizewell C nuclear power station.

You will be the Planning Obligations lead, working with colleagues to monitor and influence the development company during the planning, construction, operation and regulatory phases.

You will liaise with other planning stakeholders, ensure Deed of Obligation and Deed of Covenant commitments, including Water Environment Regulations mitigation funding, are applied. You will be the team’s main point of contact for the forums and steering groups that are required.

This is an opportunity to make a long-lasting and permanent change for the better in our local environment, and in a way that may never arise again.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

You'll be based at one of our EA offices, at locations listed, which will be agreed with the successful candidate. However we are adopting new ways of working which allows some flexibility to work from home.
