Do you want to protect and enhance the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our non-nuclear Radioactive Substances Regulation Team based in East Anglia.

You will be responsible for the regulation of a portfolio of sites, ensuring compliance under the Environmental Permitting Regulations. The Environment Agency regulates a range of activities that affect the environment, people and the economy. You will have the opportunity to create a better place for people and wildlife through the regulation of radioactive substances.

- You will ensure radioactive materials are kept and used in a secure environment.
- You will undertake inspections and audits at permitted sites, ensuring compliance, taking enforcement action when required and contributing to both security of radioactive sources and protection of the environment.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
