You will play a leading role within our high performing and collaborative Project teams. As a Project Executive you’ll have accountability for some of our most impressive and demanding projects, often focussed on our flood risk asset management programme.
You will be a role model as a talented expert who is a trusted source of advice. Using your strong interpersonal and influencing skills, you will provide direction to guide and mentor project managers to ensure effective and efficient project delivery, alongside senior representatives from Area and external partners. You will also have demonstrated strong commercial acumen in contract management and developing effective and trusting supply partner relationships.
We are the Programme and Contract Management team, part of Operations Assets & Programme Management. We create a better place through excellence in project and programme management.
Our award-winning team is at the heart of integrated project and programme delivery. We collaboratively deliver sustainable asset management projects throughout their lifecycle to reduce flood risk, deliver environmental improvements and reduce carbon, resulting in added value and a greater sense of shared ownership with local communities.
You will have a relevant degree such as civil engineering, environmental science or geography and strong experience of both contract and project management. Ideally, but not exclusively, you will have experience working on civil engineering projects and be a natural innovator, expert negotiator and champion of good practice. You’ll bring an inspirational momentum that ensures everything is done on time to quality and budget.
Excellent training and learning opportunities available for those wanting to progress their career, including personal and professional development. Please see candidate pack for information around benefits offered.
You will co-locate and work at other Environment Agency and delivery partner offices across the Delivery Hub and attend national meetings in locations such as London and Birmingham, with some overnight stays.

When providing evidence for competencies, please give examples of how you demonstrate these within the context of this role or as transferable skills.
