We are looking for the right person to help us successfully deliver our Flood Risk Management Change Portfolio. The role will reduce the risk of flooding and coastal erosion in England through:

• supporting the Portfolio Manager in analysing and managing performance of programmes and projects
• identifying and prioritising IT requirements as our IS Promoter
• ensuring our underpinning Project Online tool functions with high quality information
• advising colleagues on our ways of working (including financial management and reporting and use of Project Online)
• facilitating the provision of information and smooth running of the monthly Portfolio Board
The Flood & Coastal Risk Management Portfolio Team is a group of project professionals that manages delivery of national, high risk, critical business change projects for the public, government and our Flood colleagues across England. The team is mainly Bristol based and we're known for our professionalism, team working, knowledge sharing and for the way we support each other. You will need to be based in our award winning central Bristol office for this role.
The successful candidate is expected to have experience of delivering / supporting programmes and projects or business analysis. You will be able to demonstrate strong planning skills and financial awareness. Attention to detail is absolutely essential. You will have the ability, skills, flexibility and confidence to lead on many aspects of the Portfolio's activities. You will have a key leadership role for our team of project and programme support officers, although you will not directly line manage them.

You need be comfortable working to tight deadlines, using your initiative and managing your own workload. Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools, in particular Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project, is essential.
