Working in the East Anglia Environment Programme Team, you will lead work to translate the latest environmental evidence into local projects that make environmental improvements where they’re most needed.

You will work with a wide range of internal teams to take an integrated catchment-based approach, ensuring environmental data and multiple benefits are at the heart of your decision making.

Closely working with local Catchment Partnerships and other stakeholders, you will take them to the next level in catchment management. You’ll influence their work, identify shared projects and seek and secure funding.

You will develop and track a number of big projects from set up to completion.

You’ll promote local successes and work with colleagues across the Anglian River Basin District to share good practice.

You will lead on at least one portfolio subject for the team and carry out other duties as required.
The East Anglian Environment Programme Team sits in the EPE Department. It is a dedicated, dynamic team. The structure includes an Environment Programme Manager (Team Leader), Environment Programme Manager (Programme Manager), Catchment Delivery Managers and Catchment Coordinators working across the whole area.

This post will focus on North West Norfolk and the Cam & Ely Ouse.
• Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with external partners and other Environment Agency functions.
• Experience of delivering project work within the Environment Agency's project management procedures.
• Skilled in understanding, manipulating and presenting our environmental information to develop compelling evidence for change.
• Sound knowledge of the environmental pressures acting on our water environment.
• Problem solving and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes with diverse partners.
• Experience of embracing and adapting to change/new ways of working to improve efficiency & productivity.
• The ability to work in a dispersed team with minimal supervision and still maintain a high level of work.
