If you have great experience of working with Sustainability data and information, understand various reporting frameworks like SBTi, GGC and other reporting frameworks then we want to hear from you. If you have experience of delivering new cross business reporting systems then please tell us about that.

Typically you will be:
• Constantly looking for ways to improve the organisation’s existing sustainability insight, evidence and visibility through innovative technologies, processes, and procedures, and developing these, as appropriate to support the delivery of eMission2030.
• Reviewing external papers, updates and guidance regularly, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to ensure our team stays on the right track and remains informed of the industry best practices.
• Collaborating with colleagues (Various teams within EA and areas), to understand their needs and integrate into our reporting.
The Sustainable Business Team (SBT) is a welcoming one. We are part of the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA) Directorate. Our role is to act as a corporate enabler. We support colleagues across the Environment Agency, DEFRA and supply chain, to embed our sustainability strategy. This strategy covers our ambition to be Net Zero Carbon by 2045-50 and promotes resource optimisation, environmental net gain and benefiting people, wildlife and communities.
Generic requirements are set out in the G5 Business Services job profile. Key competences are:
• An understanding and passion for sustainability – you'll need to understand what we're trying to achieve and suggest alternative data strategies.
• Knowledge of the requirements of all relevant sustainability reporting standards (SBTi/GGC etc) and experience of integrating that into existing corporate reporting.
• Experience of using and presenting sustainability data through well-developed engagement, influencing and networking skills to effect change.
• Experience of managing data, insights and reporting delivery within large scale organisations, ideally within the sustainability field.
• Ability to work consistently at pace, to meet corporate delivery deadlines/priorities.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent data reporting experience, ideally including sustainability data reporting and/or relevant work experience.
• Experience or knowledge of data automation and visualisation tools such as Power BI is essential.
• Outstanding Excel, data management and preferably Power BI skills
