We are looking for a positive, highly organised individual to join our Customers and Engagement Team to provide excellent secretarial and administrative support to three managers of the Environment Management department and their team leaders.

Your duties would include:

- Management of the department managers’ inboxes and diaries
- Ensuring the managers are fully aware of all urgent and key actions
- Administration of executive correspondence and enquiries
- Booking meetings and accommodation for senior staff
- Processing of orders, invoices and bills
- Recording minutes and actions from meetings.
- Providing cover and support to other area secretaries
You’ll be part of the fast paced and creative Customers and Engagement Team. The Team work internally and externally to support and deliver outstanding customer service and engagement across our business. Our work is lively, interesting, and no two days are the same
Previous secretarial or administrative experience is highly desirable, but other relevant experience will be considered.
We are seeking people who have:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• The ability to prioritise workload and adapt to changeable deadlines
• An ability to motivate self and others to deliver exceptional performance and long term results
• An ability to make timely and rational decisions based on relevant information and experience
• be proficient and perhaps even innovative in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A desire to help improve and protect the environment
• Ability to manage a diary and perform administrative tasks
In addition to the above, the ideal candidates must have a positive attitude, be confident in engaging with staff and members of the public (over the phone or in person), and be comfortable working both on their own and within a team.

The position is available full time (37 hours per week), though the role would also be suited to a job share arrangement. Normal working hours are 9am-5pm M-F, though the Environment Agency operate a flexi time system, so some flexibility on start/finish times is possible.
