As part of a collaborative team, you’ll be involved in award-winning work where you will be working closely with others across the Environment Agency, the wider Defra group, statutory bodies, our supply partners, businesses and communities, leaving a valuable legacy for the future.
Through our ‘Next Generation Supplier Arrangement’ programme we have developed a new commercial framework that will bring together new collaborative arrangements with our suppliers from 1 April 2019. In establishing geographically based collaborative delivery hubs we are integrating teams from across the Environment Agency (EA) and our suppliers to manage, design and construct programmes of work on infrastructure assets. Our new ways of working will enable a greater opportunity to innovate, optimise resources, drive shared ambition and outcomes and put sustainability at the heart of everything we do.
In this role you will be a leader at the forefront of programme delivery, accountable for the performance of Programme and Contract Management services, leading and facilitating collaborative working between our suppliers and EA teams.
You will join the National Capital and Programme Management Services Team co-locating with teams from across the EA and our supplier delivery partners in one of 6 geographical locations.
You will directly lead dispersed teams of typically between 50-100 staff specialising in Programme, Project and contract management disciplines across a delivery hub that covers 2-3 Areas. In your role you will enable the successful delivery of a programme of works, up to £100m per annum.
First a foremost you will be an experienced leader with proven track record of delivering significant and complex programmes of work in collaboration with others; harnessing the skills of others, promoting innovation and driving improved performance and continuous improvement. Ideally this will have been in an infrastructure asset environment where you can demonstrate strong commercial acumen having developed effective and trusting client and supply partner relationships.
As collaborative leader and role model you will be a skilled communicator with the ability to influence others to move towards a common vision or goal.
With collaborative working at the heart of our new approach to delivery you will be able to demonstrate your ability to lead and coach others through cultural and business change to deliver expected programme outcomes and benefits.
