Working in the Commercial Systems and Compliance Team you will be providing support on our systems to the rest of the Procurement Team and the wider business. This includes maintaining and developing our eSourcing and contract management system (Bravo) and the iProcurement element of our Oracle system, as well as training, guiding and supporting staff in their use of these systems.

The role will also encourage compliance to our ways of working by Commercial staff, this might be on Public Contract Regulations compliance, Government transparency requirements, systems, records maintenance, or by developing better ways of working that support those teams.

The role also involves supporting in the supplier management of those suppliers that deliver these systems, and the development of relationships with those across other public sector organisations working in the field.
The Commercial team is a geographically dispersed team who focus primarily on high value/high risk projects to deliver value for money and reduce both commercial and sustainability risks.

This team works closely together to share best practice and has a keen interest in continuously developing the skills and capabilities of the staff within it.
You'll have experience of maintaining and delivering information systems or experience working in a public sector procurement team and the regulations that apply, or both. Experienced in with providing training and guidance both from a distance and face to face. A confident ICT user with the ability to develop systems requirements.

You'll have experience of dealing with and influencing customers and partners, meeting their needs and expectations and solving problems that may arise.

You'll demonstrate experience of working within a team, managing conflicting demands on time due to working to tight timescales and maintaining communication with the rest of the team.

It would be of benefit to be studying towards or willing to undertake the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply qualifications.
