Our Academic Internships run for 6 – 12 weeks starting in June / July 2020. Giving you the opportunity to gain valuable experience whilst complementing your studies and personal and professional growth.
During your Environmental Science placement with us you will gain experience in areas such as:
- Project management
- Habitat creation
- Asset management / maintenance
- Data management and analysis
- Regulating the environment – permitting, waste etc
- Environmental incident management

The Environment Agency operate across England divided into 14 areas and National teams.
We have opportunities across the country in both local and national teams.
You will work with and learn from experienced members of your appointed team who will coach and mentor you throughout your placement to support you to reach your potential.
We are looking for applicants who are studying or recently studied a science related degree.
You can be at any stage of your degree course but will not have graduated before summer 2018.
We are looking for applicants with some of the following skills:

- Data and information management
- Hydrology
