We have an exciting opportunity within Solent and South Downs for 2 senior roles in leading and setting the direction for an improved local environment through partnership working. We are looking for 2 experienced co-ordinators with strong influencing skills to lead on the multiple challenges and opportunities within our Area Local Outcome Plan, our Priority Places are the river Arun and the iconic chalk rivers of Test and Itchen.

These roles have recently become available to help deliver our Area ambition to shape the place where we live and work for the benefit of generations to come.
Successful candidates will work with area wide Environment Agency teams to build understanding of our role(s) within these 2 catchments and work with partners and stakeholders to achieve joint goals.

You need to be able to work with a range of different audiences, including council officials, Government agencies, landowners and operational teams. You will be required to build and sustain relationships across a wide range of sectors and develop and deliver communications to a wide range of stakeholders.
The posts will sit within the the Environment Programme team and the successful candidates will work alongside the Catchment Co-ordinators in that team. The Environment Programme team is part of a wider department within our Local Operations that provides strategic direction on our water ambition for Solent and South Downs, including teams focussed on Integrated Environment Planning, Sustainable Places and delivery of our multi million-pound environment programme.
We are looking for an individual who has experience on working across a range of disciplines and customer sectors. Ideally you will have a background knowledge or experience in the Catchment Based Approach framework and delivery of Government policy within Operations.

You will be part of a diverse team with varied experiences, backgrounds and approaches. You will be responsive and flexible to changing priorities but have emotional intelligence, resilience, and a collaborative “can-do” attitude.
