This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who wants to join the dynamic and progressive Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire Management Team. We aim to make our Area a great place to work, protecting and improving our environment through our professional , passionate and caring people. As a key member of the Area management team, you'll be responsible for leading the Area, providing direction and improving performance. We are seeking a proven leader with a flexible approach and ability to lead a range of operational and regulatory teams.
You'll lead by example and be able to build a wide range of relationships with our internal and external customers.
The Area Management Team sets the culture and direction of the Area and delivers environmental outcomes for customers and stakeholders across the area. You'll work closely with the Area Manager and fellow management team colleagues to deliver this.
Each manager is also responsible for a number of operational delivery teams with performance targets who work with their managers to deliver within budgets and timescales against these targets, provide strong leadership and performance management.
The role requires you to be an engaging leader with the ability to influence and set our direction.
You will have had experience of leading and inspiring teams to be high performing, and you will manage a quality service whilst providing value for money.
You will have demonstrable skills of delivering results through others, influencing and persuading others, and taking decisions and solving problems.
This is a permanent, full-time role.

Grade rate: £54,396

Location Area: GMMC (Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire)

The management team is largely based in Warrington, with depots in Sale, Leigh and Winsford. There will be some national travel required and more regular travel within the Area. Candidates therefore need to hold a full UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an incident management role.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with local customers and stakeholders, senior managers, peers and national/other Area colleagues to enhance the environment in this Area
Driving licence required
Demonstrable leadership experience and knowledge.
