We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational and kind person to lead our Operations Department. You'll also form an essential part of our Area Leadership Team providing forward thinking and strategic direction to the East Midlands Area. Your leadership will also enhance the Areas incident response capability by holding a senior incident management role

The Operation Manager role is absolutely critical to the success of our work in the East Midlands.
You'll lead and support our Operations Field teams and Asset Performance teams who are responsible for ensuring FCRM assets are constructed, inspected, surveyed, assessed, maintained and operated in a safe, effective and efficient manner to reduce flood risk to people and property.

During a flood event or environment incident, the teams operate to deliver the Environment Agency’s operational response in collaboration with our partners.
We are looking for applicants who believe that providing great leadership is fundamental to our ability to protect people and the environment.

You must be passionate about developing other people, be innovative in your thinking and have experience managing health, safety and wellbeing in high risk operational environments. Experience of flood or civil engineering would be advantageous.

This permanent role will be based in West Bridgford or in one of our (Northern) depots at Askham, Gainsborough or Owston Ferry with regular travel required to other EA offices. You'll be required to visit locations which may not be easily accessible via public transport and so need a full UK driving licence.

The salary is in the range of £54,396 and will also include a lease vehicle.
