You’ll be involved in a wide variety of work to deliver improvements to our FCRM engagement work and incident management arrangements.

You will work in partnership with our G5 Engagement Advisor liaising with communities to help them become more resilient to flooding. You'll also play a key role in driving better engagement for FCRM in Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

You will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the Major Incident Ready programme across the Area, helping to deliver key messages, along with getting involved in other workloads such as Duty Officer training and briefings.
The Flood Resilience Team deliver the flood warning service, train and exercise our duty staff, develop effective response procedures, raise public awareness of flooding and liaise with our professional partners within the Local Resilience Forum community. You’ll also need to work with internal teams to provide a seamless service to our duty staff, external partners and members of the public.
You'll be well organised and have excellent attention to detail to ensure our work is delivered to a high standard.

Ideally you'll have experience of incident management and have an incident management duty role (or be expected to have one following training).

Have a good working knowledge of a range of IT packages, including MS Office.
The role will be based at our Lincoln office. The successful applicant will be part of the Area’s flood incident response duty team. This will mean regular standby duties, typically every 6-8 weeks, for one week at a time. During wet weather you may be required to carry out additional periods of duty and attend the incident room outside normal working hours.
