This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the centre water environment improvements across the North East Area. As Project Manager you will work with a range of partners both internally and externally to deliver projects that provide improvements to our water environment. You will support external delivery partners to ensure all internal processes and policy are adhered to and you will advise and guide them through project delivery. Internally you will work with experts from across the business to ensure we are delivering the best value for money through an integrated approach.

As part of the role you will also be expected to provide programme management support to the programme team. This will involve liaising with project deliverers to track and profile projects.
The Environment Programme Team operates at the heart of the Business. Integrating projects across the area, both internally and externally to deliver improvements to the water environment. We take a catchment based approach and work very closely with external partners and experts across the business to ensure our programme is effective, efficient, and innovative.
• Delivering work within a programme and project management framework to time, cost and quality.
• Working with a high degree of collaboration with internal and external partners/stakeholders to help deliver the outcomes of both a specific project and the wider organisation.
• Professional knowledge and application, to influence and inform government stakeholders/regulators, on environmental issues.
• Experience of implementing best practice solutions based on up-to-date knowledge and expertise.
• Embracing and adapting to change/new ways of working to improve efficiency & productivity.
• Demonstrating political awareness when dealing with customers, stakeholders and communities.
• Using effective written and spoken communication skills to help persuade internal or external partners to take action.
• Analysing/interpreting evidence to contribute effective solutions for technical problems.
