You will use a variety of methods, including direct instruction, coaching and feedback skills to develop enforcement / investigatory capability and the personal impact of officers in regulatory and enforcement roles. You will be required to regularly accompany officers in the field and through questioning, observation and use of a capability framework you will identify learners existing skills and personal effectiveness to achieve results. You will be able to create rapport and agree clear learning objectives to build confidence and competence. You will monitor progress, input directly into designing training and learning situations suited to individual needs, and be comfortable giving clear and constructive feedback.
The Enforcement Team has oversight of all enforcement action in the HNL Area. They provide governance and ensure action is taken consistently and in accordance with EA procedures and crime priorities. They have a role to support delivery of effective enforcement action in the area, such as leading on complex cases or supporting other teams with investigations. The role provides an exciting opportunity to improve enforcement outcomes in an area with rapidly developing waste crime.
You must have a proven track record of delivering through others and be able to demonstrate you are an effective coach and mentor in the enforcement field. You will be an excellent communicator able to convey information clearly and persuasively as well having experience in an investigatory or regulatory role, evidence collection and case file production. You will have knowledge of the Enforcement Sanctions Statement and Guidance with a track record of delivering enforcement outcomes using a range of approaches and enforcement tools. You will have a thorough knowledge of working under PACE and CPIA. An understanding of the National Intelligence Model and how to handle sensitive data and intelligence under the Government Security Classification scheme would be beneficial. You must be confident dealing with hostile situations and be able to proactively manage the health and safety of yourself and others. A full UK driving licence is essential.

This is an assignment opportunity for 18 months, there will be travel required across Hertfordshire and North London to accompany officers on field visits.
This is a full-time post with the opportunity to work flexibly around the core hours of 10:00 – 15:00
