As a Team Member 3 your role is mostly office and depot based but will at times be hands-on and involve working outdoors in all weather conditions as part of a field-based team.

You will look after the equipment and vehicles at your depot, making sure they are inspected, tested, issued, and maintained in an organised way that ensures they’re ready for use – especially when needed for emergency response.

As you develop your technical skills in the role, you will support your field-based colleagues on specialist tasks. This will include providing technical support such as safety systems management and waste management and updating IT records when needed. You will be responsible for helping with the procurement of stores and equipment to enable the safe delivery of your team’s work program, along with the day-to-day upkeep of the depot

We act quickly when floods or environmental emergencies occur, operating our assets such as pumps, sluices, and flood gates. As part of your role, you will be expected to manage a busy working depot in a safe and efficient manner, controlling deliveries and collections.

As responding to incidents is a central part of what we do, you will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.

This role is currently available at our Riccal Depot in Selby.
We have Operational Field Teams currently based at Rockingham (near Barnsley), Selby (near York), Tickton (near Beverley) and Pickering.
