We are looking for an Asset Performance team officer to manage engineering documentation and contribute to the maintenance, reliability and safe operation of Thames Barrier. We manage a multi-million-pound investment programme working with key supply chain partners to ensure our flood defence assets are fit for purpose now and in the future.


Responsibilities:
- Custodian of TBAG Document Management systems /relevant
hardware /software upgrades
- Responsible for accuracy of documentation/data asset
- Contribute to the Documentation Management Plan which feeds into the Data and Information Strategy and Asset Management Plan
- Respond to information requests from the engineering team – supply relevant documentation and drawings for maintenance activities / project work
- Work as part of Thames Estuary Asset Management (TEAM) 2100 (Integrated Delivery Team) to support with updates of engineering documents e,g. CDM Health and Safety files, manuals, drawings etc when asset improvement / project work is carried out
- Drawing verification – work with engineers to check our as-built drawings are up to date
- Contribute to improvements on data management process / procedure

There are opportunities to be trained in an Incident Response role – Incident roles attract additional pay / allowances after a qualifying period.
The Thames Barrier is one of the largest moveable flood defence barriers in the world and the teams who work here protect London from tidal flooding. Our team consists of engineers, planners, project managers and data analysts working together to maintain and improve the flood defences in the Thames Estuary.

The whole team support one another, and you will be welcomed and be provided with the training and guidance needed to be successful.
• A background engineering qualification is essential enabling you to update/integrate new engineering information into existing documentation/systems
• Effective communication skills enabling you to converse with colleagues to understand required engineering information changes to documentation
• Autocade skills
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: documentation or data management, programme/project management, understanding/knowledge of asset management
• Highly organised with the ability to provide high levels overviews/progress updates on our data management work
• Experience working in teams that deliver work together as well as using your initiative – you are a self-starter who can identify solutions to improve business processes
• Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks
• A strong focus of site health and safety
You will be passionate about the environment and will want to use your knowledge and experience to support the delivery of our asset management programme.
This role will be based at the Thames Barrier and qualifies for Inner London Weighting (£3776).
