We are looking for a full-time Secretary to join the team on a fixed term basis.

This is a high profile role in a high profile area. Your primary role will be to provide excellent secretarial support to members of our area leadership team. This could include tracking, collating and organising information, emails and files, managing multiple calendars including arranging travel and accommodation, organising and attending meetings to capture actions.

You will be the point of contact for the managers you support, sharing information with different teams across the area.

There are opportunities to get involved with incident management. We have a flexible range of roles you can volunteer for and you’ll get all the training and support you need. If successful, your line manager will discuss arrangements with you depending on your role and circumstances.

This is a fixed term assignment until 30/04/2020 - INTERNAL CANDIDATES PLEASE NOTE you must ensure you seek agreement from your line manager to apply for this role.
You will be part of a friendly group of secretaries, based in a number of different offices that support the area leadership team and work closely with the area director’s personal assistants. Team work and a positive attitude are essential. The area leadership team support group is part of the Customers and Engagement team within the East Anglia area of the Environment Agency.
We are seeking an experienced secretary with good verbal and written communication skills (GCSE/O Level standard) and practiced at managing multiple diaries. You’ll have a proven ability to work unsupervised, work well within teams, manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines.

Other key requirements for this job include IT literacy including, but not limited to, proficiency in IT applications including outlook, word and excel along with good organisation and communication skills and customer focus.

Some adhoc travel to other offices within the area may be required so a full UK driving licence is desirable.
