We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join and provide administrative support primarily to our busy Beverley based Land & Water Environment Management Team. Support to the team will include, amongst other things, customer liaison, data management, record keeping, contributing to the response to freedom of information requests and helping to ensure that statutory deadlines are met. There may also be opportunities to undertake site visits and assist in taking water samples. This support is essential to allow the teams to carry out their duties. The role may extend to support for other Environment Management teams in the Area. The role is predominantly office based but there may be some opportunity to shadow other members of staff whilst working out on site.
The Beverley based Land & Water Environment Management team carries out the following tasks:
• Regulation of water industry operations
• Environmental incident management and where necessary enforcement.
• Regulation of the pig & poultry industrial sector
• Responding to planning consultations
• Taking samples to determine river and bathing water quality
• Regulation of water resource licences
• Regulation of land spreading
• Providing pollution prevention advice to businesses
Proven administrative experience, highly organised and able to deal with confidential, high profile, and sensitive issues.
Provide information and advice accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Excellent communication skills, work to deadlines, flexible and resourceful with the ability to handle shifting priorities.
Work as part of a team and ability to work on your own, dealing confidently with last minute changes.
We are looking for a candidate to have strong IT skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and Office 365.

A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
