We are looking for an experienced Secretary for this exciting and challenging position.
This is a high profile role in a high profile area. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our Area Leadership Team.
Your excellent organisational skills will be critical to the smooth running of our organisation and will enable us to meet our objectives to improve the environment.
You will carry out a range of secretarial duties and act as initial point of contact, sharing and filtering information for the team so that priorities are met.
You will maintain Outlook calendars to ensure effective use of time and make initial judgements relating to conflicting appointments, ensuring Managers are prepared for all upcoming commitments.
You will provide an efficient meeting service by drafting agendas and taking minutes. You will arrange internal and external meetings including booking travel and accommodation through internal systems.
You will be required to use a variety of internal systems to carry out administrative tasks such as booking meeting rooms, making purchases and arranging travel and accommodation.
You will join the lively and creative Customers and Engagement Team and be part of a friendly group of secretaries that support the Area Leadership Team and work closely with the Area Director’s personal assistant.

We are seeking an experienced secretary with good verbal and written communication skills. You’ll have the proven ability to work unsupervised, work well within teams, manage your own workload and meet tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Have experience of taking notes at meetings.
- Be a highly organised team player.
- Have proven secretarial and administrative skills.
- Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and have the ability to learn internal systems.
- Be able to work flexibly, manage own workloads and meet tight deadlines.
- Have the ability to maintain strictest confidentiality at all times.
A recognised professional secretarial qualification is not essential but the successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in a similar role.
