The role will lead on our input to strategic development sites. Large sites have been allocated for redevelopment in east London. The role will lead on the influencing of site layout and realise opportunities to work with developers, where feasible, to support the delivery of our capital programme. Early engagement is essential in delivering outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with our Sustainable Places team as well as our leads in PSO for capital programme delivery.
The partnerships and strategic overview team aims to understand and manage flood risk by working flexibly with partners in ways that are good value and benefit communities and the environment where most needed. The PSO London East team works with 9 Lead Local Flood Authorities based in London. The role will lead on our more strategic site allocations in flood risk areas and working closely with our project leads in PSO delivering new capital schemes.
The post requires experience influencing development when considering flood risk and having a good overview of how development could help deliver our capital programme. The successful candidate will lead on numerous strategic development sites in London and will need to demonstrate how working with others can bring multiple benefits in delivering sustainable development.
