We have recently created a new Programme Delivery Unit to help reduce the risk of flooding and erosion to 300,000 households, obtain 15% contributions towards scheme costs and achieve 10% efficiencies. This is an exciting and challenging programme which continues to evolve and requires enthusiastic individuals to maintain the drive towards delivery.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join the Programme Delivery Unit. In this role you'll support the day to day running of the FCRM programme, working with area and national colleagues to support our capital programme delivery, including packaging of projects, assistance with queries from other Risk Management Authorities and ensuring timely and quality data is available for the 6 year programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape local and national delivery. An ability to build good networks will be key to forming strong links between the PDU team and other teams to ensure the continued success of the capital programme.
You’ll be part of the newly formed Programme Delivery Unit, a team dedicated to helping us achieve our target of reducing flood risk to 300,000 properties. The team is co-located with our framework consultants and contractors, offering unparalleled access to skills and experience across the whole sector.
We are looking for someone with experience in flood risk project or programme management and a proven ability in:

• good planning and organisational skills, working under your own initiative and to tight and sometimes challenging deadlines.
• communication and interpersonal skills, and providing excellent customer service to other internal and external teams.
• Innovation - embracing change to improve efficiency and productivity.
• analysing and interpreting data.
• good working knowledge of a range of IT packages, including MS Office, Excel and GIS (ARCMap).
