We’re looking for an Asset Performance Officer to project manage and deliver works which maintain some of our key assets, as well as develop a programme to effectively manage asset lifecycles in Cumbria and Lancashire. This work is essential to reducing flood risk and protecting people and properties. The role will also involve engaging with members of the public about our assets and maintenance work, and contribute to our incident response work.
The Asset Performance team are responsible for the overall performance of our assets, including flood and coastal defences. We work closely with our Field Teams and external contractors to deliver a large programme of asset maintenance work each year, as well as planning how to maintain and replace our assets in the future.
You will have a civil engineering background and, ideally, a relevant degree (or equivalent) or professional qualification. It’s important that you’re skilled at managing multiple priorities and competing demands, and have project management experience. First-class communication skills are a must, and you must also understand the importance of teamwork and collaboration. In fact, you’ll be able to show where you’ve worked with others to deliver successfully. You’ll be an intelligent problem solver too, with a methodical work approach. Changing priorities may mean successful candidates are required to meet challenging demands outside those mentioned above.
