This is an exciting new opportunity where you will become the ‘go to’ expert for all process and systems related recruitment activity, supporting managers across Yorkshire. You can expect to get involved in:
• Managing recruitment activity through our internal recruitment system, setting up adverts and interview schedules, inputting feedback
• Working with managers, external recruitment providers and partners
• Providing support and guidance to managers, for example, advise on timescales, coordinating and facilitating assessment activity, preparing paperwork
• Managing and responding to candidate queries via telephone and email
• Managing confidential information in line with GDPR guidelines
• Supporting managers with appointment activities, for example, providing guidance on pre-employment checks, completing new starter paperwork and updating relevant systems
• Supporting additional workforce planning activities, for example, maintaining team structures, supporting work-placement and outreach activities
You’ll mainly be working independently but will be a valuable part of our Business Office team. The work we do supports the Yorkshire Area Leadership Team and others to understand and manage its finances, people and risks, ensuring it can deliver benefits for the environment and the communities we serve.
The team operates across 4 main offices in Yorkshire and this role will be based at one of our main offices in Leeds.
You should ideally be able to demonstrate some of the following through relevant experience and/or qualifications:
• Excellent IT skills, specifically relating to MS Office, Outlook and an ability to pick up the use of new systems quickly
• Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external customers
• Delivery of work by planning, tracking, gathering and maintaining data/information
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to ensure commitments are delivered
• Good organisational skills, specifically an ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities within a given timescale
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation

You will also be expected to manage and respond to queries, providing candidates with a positive first impression of the Environment Agency.

Communicates Effectively
In this role you will work closely with Environment Agency managers and our third party HR Recruitment providers to ensure we bring the right people, with the right skills into the organisation at the right time. This requires not just great planning but an ability to communicate effectively and ensure all parties are clear about every step in the process.

Data and Information Management
In this role you will be working with confidential candidate information,
utilising multiple systems including MS Office, Outlook and the
Environment Agency HR and Recruiting systems to communicate,
report on and progress recruitment activity.
