A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Operations National Services (ONS) – a department at the heart of the work we do at the Environment Agency.

The roles of Business Administrator and PA (2 x fixed term and 1 x permanent) are vital to the smooth running of our business and involve providing administration support to Executive Managers across the ONS leadership team and the Office for the Executive Director of Operations.

The roles will take on tasks such as make travel decisions and arrangements; track actions; prioritise and action emails; develop material, facilitate and attend meetings; take notes; manage systems and help keep the team ahead of the curve where possible. By using your own initiative; good planning and prioritising skills, you will enable our leadership teams to deliver their outcomes.

We are looking for people who are customer and delivery focused in order to provide innovative, professional services that exceed our customer’s expectations.
The Operations Executive Support Team are a supportive and flexible team who pride themselves on great customer service and delivery.

Individuals have their own specified part of the business to support, however we work as a team to smooth peaks in workload and take on additional projects.

Our customers come to us for solutions to their challenges, so this is a great opportunity to raise your profile and make a difference.

Be highly organised and have proven administrative experience including diary and email management; note taking; travel schedules and action tracking.

Ability to work with others to solve problems; use your own intuitive to make decisions and managing yourself during times of high workloads.

The roles require a discrete manner; flexible working style; good planning skills and the ability to prioritise key tasks.

A keen interest in event facilitation would be an advantage.

You'll be a point of contact for the team so it’s important you have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with the team as well as with our customers and partners as reputation is paramount.

Travel to meetings and other offices will be required on occasion.
