As part of a team in the Solent and South Downs resilience area your role will be to represent and support meetings with the Local Resilience Forum and other professional and emergency services partners in the field of incident management. You will plan, deliver and assist with function specific incident management exercises, provide incident management training and draft procedures. You Provide technical knowledge, ownership and administration of Risk Registers and work plans. Provide technical and administration support for 12 incident duty groups.
As part of this role you will be expected participate in out of hours work during emergencies and be on call duty officer after receiving appropriate training.
The Solent and South Downs resilience team covers Hampshire Sussex and the Isle of Wight. The team’s primary role is to ensure the area has the correct training and procedures in place to carry out its incident response duties for flood Risk management, flood warning and environmental incidents.
Ideally you will have a suitable degree in Geography, Environment Science or Incident Management. Suitable experience in the field of incident management work for a professional organisation will also be welcomed.
