Working in a dynamic environment, this role is central to ensuring the smooth running of a business critical team that is at the heart of our incident management. Providing PA support to executive management, the role requires a high degree of autonomy, and being able to work with dispersed teams.
Day to day responsibilities include diary management, meeting and room bookings, tracking actions, preparing agendas and taking minutes, checking expenses, research, making travel arrangements, and reprioritising all of the above as circumstances change.

Incident Management & Resilience are at the heart of planning for and responding to a range of flood and environmental incidents. Within this, Digital Services are responsible for the development and operations of key external and internal services, including our flood warning and forecasting systems, and the software and systems we operate in our incident rooms.
An ability to work under pressure as part of a team and individually.
Skilled at time management.
Strong and effective communication skills on the phone, in writing and face to face.
Expected to exercise judgement in prioritisation and highlighting potential issues.
Good level of literacy and numeracy required
Confident at using a range of IT packages such as Microsoft Office and willing to learn new internal systems (training will be given).

The role is primarily office based with some travel and overnights required on occasion for national meetings (largely held in Birmingham / London). It is for a fixed term of 12 months. Flexible working is supported.
