I am looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Integrated Environment Planning team for 6-9 months. This post will primarily focus on Water Resources ensuring that water use is sustainably managed in our Area. You would work with specialists in the team on assigning licences for water abstraction and ensuring catchments have sufficient water. You will work with area teams to make sure there are adequate flows and that they are in a natural seasonal pattern by working with water companies on their reservoir releases
This role will be involved in a variety of work in the team and there is some flexibility in the team about where workload sits

This role is initially for 6 months, there may be an opportunity for extend it for a further 3 months
You’ll join the Integrated Environment Planning (IEP) team, containing specialists in water quality, water resources and river basin planning. Our friendly and supportive team facilitate integrated actions to benefit people and wildlife. We work with internal and external partners to collate and share data, providing the environmental evidence to inform our area’s priorities.
You will be educated to degree level or have the relevant experience to carry out the role
You will have some experience relevant to the role and an understanding of the water environment. An understanding of Water Resources would be an advantage.
You will need to be a great team player, have fantastic communication skills and have a history of achieving results
