This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your skills and be part of the Climate Change Trading & Regulatory Services (CCTRS) team assisting customers to comply with their obligations to the UK Government’s climate change schemes.




The types of work you will be involved in include:



Assisting senior officers within the team

Answering customer technical queries through our helpdesks

Processing simple permits and applications

Updating IT systems and supporting account maintenance

Assisting the delivery of some aspects of compliance audits and enforcement work within regulations

Providing excellent customer service

Cross department activities such as business planning and finance

Providing data and reporting information

Ad hoc administrative tasks

CCTRS is part of National Operations. We regulate and administer various UK Government climate change schemes. The aim is to protect and improve our environment. These regimes are central to ensuring that the UK is meeting our targets relating to greenhouse gas emissions.



Whilst teams are working flexibly between office locations and home, you may be required to travel to offices for meetings and training. Your base location will be in Warrington, Preston or Sheffield.
Proven ability in prioritising and managing a varied workload and delivering at pace.

Experience of working in support of customers to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements is desirable but not essential.

Ability to coordinate the collection, assessment and reporting of diverse, complex data.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrating the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external customers is essential.

Ability to deliver deadlines across multiple areas of work

Good working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office package

Self-motivation and initiative

Ability to interpret technical guidance

There is a strong possibility that more posts will become available, and we intend to use the outcome of this recruitment process to fill any vacancies that arise at this grade within 6 months of interviews.
