An exciting opportunity to join the Environment Agency’s Wessex Customers & Engagement team.

You'll work with national and area-based colleagues, providing diverse information to a wide range of customers. You'll deliver great customer service to ensure people find us easy to engage with and our reputation is protected.

Primarily, you will:
• Deliver excellent customer service to people across the Wessex area
• Manage and respond to customer enquiries via email, telephone and letter, within statutory timeframes
• Work with teams and colleagues across the Environment Agency to gather accurate information

We are looking to fill this position on a full-time basis, however we support flexible working and would welcome applications from candidates who work part-time.
A supportive and friendly team, working hard to deliver excellent customer service. We manage a range of requests from an informed and diverse customer base, and help internal teams to proactively engage with partners and communities. Playing an important role in managing relationships that are essential to our reputation and business delivery.

Seeking a self-motivated and customer focused person.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to produce high quality work
• Organised, flexible, able to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines
• Experience of dealing with customer enquiries and data requests
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be confident in engaging with customers and colleagues
• Good IT skills. Able to use Microsoft packages including Outlook

We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm and the right skills to succeed in the role. It is not necessary to have experience of work in the Environment Agency. Training and support will be provided.
The role can be based at either our Blandford or Bridgwater Offices, with flexible home working included. As a dispersed team, there is an occasional need to travel. Flexible working arrangements are in place to support your work/life balance.

This role requires you to work closely with and support colleagues within the Customers & Engagement Team and wider teams across the Environment Agency. Please give an example of when you have worked as part of a team to achieve common goals and what your individual contribution was.
