An exciting development opportunity has arisen in our MEICA team planning mechanical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance/repair activity in the South East region of the UK to meet and sustain both Statutory and EA standards and maintain the electronic maintenance records and database.
As part of this you will control and co-ordinate programmes of work for internal and external work teams to achieve operational, safety and quality requirements via regional resources.

You will be able to assist fellow MEICA team members in the delivery of works including the repair, inspection, test and maintenance of equipment to ensure MEICA statutory obligations and engineering standards are met. The requirement is to issue and track back work needs to other team members ensuring accurate records are maintained.

Keeping MEICA officers and CMMS system users up to date by co-ordinating and delivering the training for correct use and upkeep of the CMMS system will also be part of your role.

You will be able to prepare and analyse reports from our maintenance database and project programmes relating to MEICA assets to inform and advise asset management planning, robustness and business risk.
The SE MEICA (West) team consists of 13 mixed discipline Engineers providing Consultant style support to internal partners. We also manage, maintain and modify all Mechanical and Electrical equipment on behalf of the asset owners, working closely with our internal partners and framework contractors. Maintenance officers in each region control the execution and quality of maintenance/repairs to our Asset base and are the key group of staff this role interacts with on a daily basis.
• Note Engineering related qualifications are not required.
• Delivering work by planning, tracking, gathering, maintaining, quality-assuring and analysing data/information.

• Good communication and customer relations skills are essential, along with the ability to develop and maintain good relations with customers and adapt behaviour to different situations and people

• Delivery of low to medium risk multi-disciplinary projects and/or activities to time cost quality ensuring successful outcomes are achieved

• Embracing and adapting to change and new ways of working.

• The ability to work independently and make decisions about priorities and appropriate action on a day to day basis, to achieve planned outcomes.

• Applying up to date, technically sound knowledge to make decisions and provide sound briefing and guidance

• Producing clear, concise and persuasive written material and presenting to/briefing more senior staff, colleagues and customers

• Some occasional regional travel may be required
This role reports into the West team but is responsible for planning and data maintenance for the whole SE region including Sussex, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Berks, Kent and South London, Herts and North London.
